The Design


A 2.5-hour facilitated program focused on simple, tactical, inclusive behaviors for participants to implement right away that create belonging, uncover potential bias, and ensure a more inclusive environment for themselves and their teams.

Audience: All firm employees
Skills in Focus: Strategies for having inclusive conversations / giving inclusive feedback, uncovering / overcoming unconscious bias, promoting belonging

The Details


  • Participants work in large group, small groups, pairs, and individually to reflect on, and discuss, creating dialogue around belonging, uncovering unconscious bias, and implementing inclusive behaviors.

  • Learners use a program workbook to capture discussion points, answer questions, and make commitments to inclusive behaviors.

  • A Belonging Balance sheet helps learners think about their own belonging and how to create belonging with others.

  • Learners work in pairs to share instances of bias and strategies to overcome them. Small groups work through 3-5 realistic scenarios, reflecting on challenges to, and brainstorming resolutions for, inclusion.
